Known as Delors Report, the report “Learning; the treasure within” was published in 1996 as a result of a study of the International Comission about the Education in the XXI century, driven by UNESCO and led by Jaques Delors. In 1996, Unescocat published the catalan version of it.
This report seeks to highlight the role of education as an instrument for humanity to progress toward the ideals of peace, freedom and social justice. He emphasizes that the ultimate goal of education is to learn to be. This aim is broken down into three other goals:
- Learning to know (learning to learn, learning to acquire and build knowledge)
- Learning to do (learning social and professional skills to relate)
- Learn to live together (learning to live in society).
